We are excited to announce that the Korea Centre, SIRP, Mahatma Gandhi University is now accepting applications for a rewarding two-month summer internship program, tailored specifically for Bachelor’s and Master’s students interested in Korean Studies.
This research-oriented internship provides an opportunity to delve into a topic of your choosing in the field of Korean Studies (Eg. any aspects of India-Korea Relations, Korea Wave in India/Kerala, Image of Korea Among Youth in Kerala etc). At the end of the internship period, interns are expected to produce a short research paper of publishable quality, comprising approximately 1,500 words.
Throughout the course of the internship, interns will receive invaluable mentorship from a seasoned research scholar affiliated with the Korea Centre, who will guide the intern in exploring and elucidating their chosen subject. The interns will also get a chance to work with Korean Centre academic and cultural activities and events.
Upon successful submission and acceptance of the research paper, it will be published as an Issue Brief. Furthermore, the successful interns will be awarded a Certificate of Completion along with a Cash Award of Rs 5,000/- as an acknowledgement of their contributions.
Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
Required Application Materials:
- Your most recent resume/CV with contact details.
- A copy of the student ID Card.
- A research topic you intend to pursue and a brief abstract (not more than 150 words).
- A statement of interest, outlining your reasons for applying to this internship (Not more than 300 words)
